The Mummy Tag!

While browsing through Linda's beautiful blog, I discovered this fantastic TAG and just had to do it!

1. Are you a Stay at Home Mum, or a Working Mum?
Stay at home mum!

2. Would you have it any other way?
No, although it can be hard work when Barry is doing 4 nightshifts in a row and I'm at home all day and night on my own - I still much prefer being with Rayne and the dogs. I feel extremely privileged to be one of the lucky mums who can afford to stay at home full time with their babies, and I treasure that I can do so <3

3. Do you co-sleep?
I did at the start when me and Rayne were in the bed by ourselves as she was waking up every 1-2 hours to breastfeed, but Barry is an extremely heavy sleeper and I decided she'd be safer in the cot beside the bed with the side down, so we can both still see each other but she's protected from being rolled on.

4. What is your one must-have item for your baby?
The Mothercare Little Lane Sit Me Up Cosy! I plan to do a review on this soon! It was bought for Rayne by a very good friend of mine, and it's what I based her nursery theme on! Not only is it absolutely beautiful, but the first 'nest' stage (it converts into 3 as baby grows) has been fantastic for letting Rayne view the room safely or be tucked up on the sofa in the Cosy beside me, protected from the dogs also on the sofa!

5. How many kids do you plan on having?
Two or three. It all depends on how kind my next pregnancy is as my pregnancy with Rayne was quite rough, and with my heart condition I have to consider how healthy they'll leave me afterwards!

6. Date night? How many nights per month?
We're quite lucky in that Barry works shifts so he's off with me for two or three days at a time after a long stretch of working and hardly seeing each other! Usually what we do is spend the night in together with Rayne tucked in between us on the sofa, watch movies/shows on Netflix and relax. That probably doesn't sound very exciting but I really do just enjoy Barry's company. <3

7. Your childs favourite show?
Rayne's only 11 weeks old so doesn't really have much favourites! Her first Disney movie she watched with me and Barry was 'Frozen' and she actually did watch a fair bit of it before falling asleep! She also loves when we watch the 'Baby View' baby sensory video on YouTube. The look of concentration on her face is priceless!

8. Name one thing you bought before you had your baby and never ended up using?
So far all the booties and wee shoes I bought her, but that's because her feet are still too small and they keep falling off!

9. Your child’s favourite food?
At the moment, still milk lol!

10. How many cars does your family have?
One - a Chevrolet Cruze LS. It's Barry's car as I hate the idea of driving (even at 23) and if I have my way will probably not learn for at least another few years!

11. Weight gain before pregnancy, during and after and now?
I was 48.8kg before pregnancy, I dropped down to 43.8kg during the first few weeks of pregnancy because I was so unwell. I was 52kg at 33weeks pregnant, 54kg at 40weeks and I'm now 48.9kg!
I was hoping I'd have gained a bit more and kept it as I have a very fast metabolism and don't gain weight very easily at all but alas, it wasn't meant to be! My body shape has changed slightly though - I'm heavier in my thighs and my bum -though it was never really small to start with lol!

12. Dream holiday with your kids?
Orlando, Florida - I've so many great memories of there I can't wait for Rayne to experience all the parks and stuff with me :)

13. Dream holiday without your kids?
I can't see myself going on holiday without Rayne for a long long time, even though family have offered to keep her. I'm even planning to take her wild camping with us during the summer lol <3

14. How has your life changed since your baby has been born?
Problems that seemed big before seem trivial now, so long as Rayne is safe and happy I'm quite happy! I avoid drama or fallouts now too, simply because I don't want to be that kind of person anymore, nor do I have time for any nonsense! Life is far too short!
I want to be a better person for Rayne - I've done some things I regret in the past, and I want Rayne to be proud of me in the future.

15. Finish the sentence: 'It makes my heart melt to see … '
Rayne smiling at her daddy :)

16. Where do you shop for your kids?
Everywhere! I got a load of clothes for Rayne in bigger sizes before she was even born in the Next January sales! I love Primark, Asda and Tesco too :) and TK Maxx!

17. Favourite makeup and skincare products?
Avon for both (for handiness and good for on a budget!) - though I'm partial to Soap and Glory and Too Faced makeup too!

18. Huggies or Pampers?
Pampers

19. Have you always wanted kids?
Yes. I went through a stage where I thought I didn't when I was younger, but I think it was based more on fear than anything!

20. Best part about being a mum?
Everything! I really was meant for this <3
