Hair Care Review: Kérastase Reflection Bain Chroma Captive Shampoo

I've previously reviewed the Kérastase Elixer Ultime, which you can find here, and can I just gush for a second about how much I love this brand.
Really. Like, really. Really.

Admittedly, in my previous review, I was a bit iffy about how much the products cost, but after winning a voucher from Peter Mark, I used it to purchase a few more Kérastase products, recommended to me by my stylist at the time.

One of the products my stylist happened to recommend was the Kérastase Reflection Bain Chroma Captive Shampoo.

Advertised by Kérastase as a
"Colour radiance protecting shampoo with Linseed Oil, Vitamin E and UV filters for all types of colour-treated hair" it retails at £17.50 for 250ml. I'll admit, once again I was put off by the price, and I
was skeptical. But as I wasn't paying for it myself, I was willing to give it a go, and I'm so glad I did.

My stylist thought it would be perfect to help my temporary colours last as long as possible, and after using it on and off for nearly two years now I have to agree.

In my last post here I mentioned how lazy I was about dying my hair, and while allowing my colour to wash out (to achieve as neutral a base as possible for the next colour) I avoid this shampoo, and instead use one not aimed at protecting the colour.
Obviously.
However, when I do use it, n
ot only do I see a marked improvement in how long my colours last, but I've also noticed a definite improvement in the overall condition of my hair. The packaging itself is attractive (I've actually had my hair this particular shade of pink lol) and its easy enough to get the product out until towards the very end!
The texture of the shampoo is quite smooth, it lathers well and it smells absolutely divine,
I've been using this along with the
Kérastase Resistance Anti-Usure Conditioner, ( read the review here) and I find they work really well together.

Despite their relatively high price, in this case I really do believe you get what you pay for, and I'd definitely repurchase both (and previously have done!).
I'm looking forward to trying other
Kérastase products, and have a Kérastase wishlist of products I can't wait to try!If you use any particular ones you enjoy, feel free to recommend me some!
Until next time

Sarah x
